Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

This policy covers techspec.biz, the TechSpec customer portal and the TechSpec Hub (together, the "Services"), operated by TechSpec LLC, based in New Bern, North Carolina, USA. Questions about privacy go to brandon@techspec.biz or (252) 617-7027.

2. Information We Collect

• Information you give us: your name, business name, email, phone, mailing or shipping address, order details, files and artwork you upload, and anything you write to us in forms, chat or email.
• Account information: your login email and password (stored securely by our authentication provider; we never see your password).
• Payment information: invoices are handled by our payment processor (Wave). Card and bank details go directly to them; we don't store them.
• Usage information: basic, privacy-friendly analytics about pages visited, device type and how you found us, used to improve the site.
• Hub customer data: if your business uses the TechSpec Hub, the contacts, bookings, messages and orders you add or that come in through your website belong to you. We store and process them only to provide the Hub to you.

3. How We Use It

• To provide our print, design, web and marketing services and deliver your orders
• To run your portal and Hub account, including sending the emails, reminders and notifications you've switched on
• To bill you and keep accounting records
• To answer questions and provide support
• To keep the Services secure and prevent abuse
• To send marketing emails, only if you're a customer or opted in, and every one has an unsubscribe link

4. Facebook & Instagram (Meta) Data

The TechSpec Hub lets you connect your Facebook Page, its linked Instagram business account and, optionally, a Meta ad account. When you choose "Connect with Facebook," you decide which Pages and accounts to share. With your permission we access:

• Your Facebook profile name and ID, to show who connected the account
• The Pages and Instagram business accounts you select (name, picture, address) and access tokens that let the Hub publish on their behalf
• Posts you create in the Hub, published only after you approve them, either right away or at the time you schedule
• Ad accounts you select, so the Hub can create boosts and ads you approve, pause or resume them, and show their results (spend, reach, clicks)

We use this data only to provide these features to you. We don't sell it, use it for advertising profiles, or share it with anyone else. Ad spend is billed by Meta directly to your own payment method; TechSpec never holds or marks it up. Access tokens are stored encrypted on our servers and are never shown in your browser.

5. Google Data

If you connect your Google Business Profile, we access the business locations you choose so the Hub can publish posts you approve and show their performance. TechSpec's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We don't use Google user data for advertising, and we don't let humans read it except with your permission, for security reasons, or where the law requires it.

6. Who We Share Information With

Only the service providers we need to run the Services, under agreements that protect your data:

• Supabase (database, logins and file storage)
• Vercel and GitHub Pages (website hosting)
• SMTP2GO (sending email)
• Wave (invoices and payments)
• Print and production partners, who receive only what's needed to make and ship your order
• Meta and Google, only when you connect them and ask the Hub to act (for example, publishing a post)

We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We never sell personal information.

7. How Long We Keep It

We keep account and order information while your account is active and as long as needed for accounting and legal records. Facebook, Instagram and Google access tokens are deleted as soon as you disconnect. Hub data you delete is removed from our active systems right away and from backups within 30 days.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access tokens and secrets are stored server-side only, and staff access is limited to what's needed to support you.

9. Deleting Your Data

You're always in control:

• Disconnect Facebook & Instagram: in the Hub, go to Settings → Facebook & Instagram → Disconnect. This deletes your stored tokens and revokes the Hub's access. You can also remove "TechSpec" under Facebook Settings → Business Integrations.
• Disconnect Google: remove TechSpec at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
• Delete everything: email brandon@techspec.biz with the subject "Delete my data" from the email on your account. We'll confirm and delete your account and associated data (including any Facebook, Instagram and Google data) within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as paid invoices.

10. Your Choices & Rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, and unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in any email. Depending on where you live (for example California or the UK/EU), you may have additional rights; contact us and we'll help.

11. Children

The Services are for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

12. Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll let account holders know by email.
